Sign-in works from a link we email you. There are no passwords, so there is no password to store or to lose.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Some information is recorded automatically when you visit the site, whether or not you have an account. We collect it to keep the directory working, to understand how it is used, and to keep it free of spam and abuse.
What we do not do with it. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. When you are signed in, or once you sign in on the same browser, this activity is associated with your account so that we can support you and investigate misuse of the directory. Only our own staff can see it.
We record only what we need to keep the directory safe and running: to spot and stop spam, scraping and abuse, to keep accounts secure, and to understand how the site is used. Security records are kept for a limited time and then deleted. We keep only the referring website's domain, never the full address of the page you came from, so search terms and campaign details are not stored. When you sign in, we record the time, the IP address, the approximate place it maps to and the browser, and keep only the most recent fifty sign-ins.

4. Public Business Listing Information
A listing is meant to be found. The business name, address, phone number, website, category, description, social links and logo you submit are shown publicly on the site and may appear in search engines and other services that read our pages. Do not include information in a listing that you do not want to be public. The business email used for verification is shown on the listing page only if you include it in the contact details; the account email is never shown.
5. Reviews
Reviews are public once approved. The reviewer name, rating, title, text and date are shown on the business page. The email address used to confirm a review is never published and is used only to confirm the review and to send a notice when it is published.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Connections to the site are encrypted, information is stored with reputable cloud providers, and access to account records is restricted to authorized staff. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. How Long We Keep It
Account and listing records are kept for as long as your account is open. If you remove your listing or close your account, we remove your information, except where we are required by law to keep it.
Records relating to a suspension, ban, or investigation of misuse are kept after the account is closed. Without them, the same conduct could simply start again under a new account, and the directory would have no way to tell.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:

- Request deletion of your personal data
- Remove your listing at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Ask us what activity is recorded against your account
To exercise any of these, send us a message; we may ask you to confirm the request from the email on your account. Some records are kept even after a deletion request where the law requires it, or where they relate to enforcement of our terms (see How Long We Keep It above). Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
11. Visitors Outside the United States
The directory is built for businesses in the United States and is hosted and operated there. If you visit from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights the GDPR gives you, including access, correction, erasure and objection, and you can exercise them through the same contact details. Information is processed in the United States.
12. Children's Privacy
The site is for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
