1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Listings Junkie's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Use of Services
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for:
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Keeping the inbox that receives your sign-in links secure
- Ensuring all information you provide is accurate and current
- Complying with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
3. Your Account
Everything you list belongs under one account, and that account is yours to manage. If you run more than one business, add each one to the same account; every listing is free, and each one is verified and reviewed on its own.
Do not open extra accounts to impersonate anyone, to submit the same business twice, or to work around a restriction already placed on your account. This applies equally to everyone, including marketing agencies, SEO and citation services, resellers, and anyone listing businesses on a client's behalf. If you manage listings for other people, run them from one account.
Signing in is a link we email you. There is no password at all. Anyone with access to that inbox can act as you, so keep it secure; anything done through your account is your responsibility.
4. Business Listings
Key listing requirements:
- Listings are for real businesses operating in the United States, and must be written in English
- You must own the business or be authorized to list it
- All listings must comply with our community standards and applicable laws
- Prohibited items include illegal goods, hazardous materials, and content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Listings undergo a review process before going live
- We reserve the right to remove listings that violate our policies
Every listing is confirmed from the business email and reviewed by a person before it appears on the directory, and changes to a live listing are reviewed the same way before they take effect. The logo is checked with the listing, and details you add to your public writer profile are reviewed as well.
Review usually takes less than a business day, but it can take longer at busy times. Your listing stays exactly as it was until the change is approved; nothing goes dark while it is waiting.
Community standards
All listings must comply with our community standards and applicable US laws. The following are not permitted on the directory:
- Illegal goods or services
- Hazardous materials
- Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Fraudulent or misleading business information
- Adult content or services
Listings Junkie reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these standards without prior notice.
Managing your listing
You have full control over your listing at all times. From your account you can:
- Update your business information anytime
- Edit your description, contact details, category, logo and social links
- Remove your listing entirely by asking us through the contact page from the email on your account
There are no obligations, no contracts, and no fees.
5. Free Listings
Listing a business on Listings Junkie is free. There is no subscription, no listing fee, no credit card step and no time limit. An approved listing stays live for as long as the account stays in good standing and the information stays accurate. We do not sell upgrades, badges or placement in the directory, and no listing is ranked above another because somebody paid.
Create an account
Sign up with your name and email, confirm it from the link we send, and you are ready to go.
Fill out your details
Enter your business name, category, location, description, contact information, website and logo.
Submit for review
Confirm the business email, then a person reviews your listing to make sure it meets our community standards and it goes live on the directory.
Separately, Listings Junkie offers digital marketing services to businesses that want more help. They are optional, never a condition of being listed, and are provided under their own written agreement.
6. Reviews
- Reviews must describe your own genuine experience with the business.
- Do not write reviews of a business you own, work for or compete with, and do not pay for or trade reviews.
- No personal attacks, hate speech, threats, private information or anything unlawful.
- Reviews are confirmed by email and checked before they appear. We may decline or remove a review at our discretion.
7. Guest Posts
Articles submitted through the guest post form are reviewed editorially. We may edit for clarity, length and formatting, add or remove links, decline a submission, or remove a published article later. Published articles may remain on the site after an author's account is closed.
8. Content You Submit
You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give Listings Junkie a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content on the site and in connection with promoting the site, for as long as it is published. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, including logos and article text.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on Listings Junkie, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of Listings Junkie L.L.C. and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.
10. Inquiries & Communication
All inquiries on listings will be directed to the company or individual listed, not to Listings Junkie. This direct line of communication ensures that businesses can manage and respond to potential customers promptly. Listings Junkie is not responsible for communications between users and listed businesses.
11. Limitation of Liability
Listings Junkie is not responsible for the accuracy of business listings or any transactions between users and listed businesses. We provide our platform "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Listings Junkie and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the site, a listing, a review or a business you found here.
12. Account Standing
The directory is moderated. We do that so the businesses listed here are real, the information is worth trusting, and one person cannot crowd out everyone else. If an account is used in a way these terms don't allow, we take one of two actions.
Suspension
A suspension is temporary and lasts a set period, from 24 hours up to 90 days depending on what happened. You will be told the reason and when it ends. During a suspension you can still sign in and see your account and your listings; you simply can't make changes, submit anything new, or make a purchase. When the period ends, your account returns to normal on its own.
Permanent ban
A ban is for repeated or serious violations, and it does not expire. Listings associated with the account are removed from the directory.
You get one appeal. Sign in and you'll land on a page explaining the restriction, with a form to tell us why you think it's wrong. A real person reads it. Because it's one appeal per restriction, take a moment with it, and if we got it wrong, we'll say so and put it right.
What leads to action
- Listing a business that doesn't exist, or that you have no authority to list
- Posting content that breaks our community standards or the law
- Submitting the same business repeatedly, or listings that exist only to place links
- Writing fake reviews, or reviews of your own or a competitor's business
- Opening extra accounts to work around a restriction already applied to your account
These rules apply to every account equally, whatever industry you're in and whoever you list on behalf of. We don't make exceptions, and we'd much rather you never need this section.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may terminate or restrict an account for conduct that violates these Terms & Conditions, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable, in line with the process described above. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as content licenses, disclaimers and limitations, survive termination.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will post the revised terms on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
